SCREEN-PRINTING

Accent

What is screen-printing?
Ink is applied directly to the item through a customized screen. It is best for orders with large quantities.

  • Versatile technique for numerous materials.
  • Ideal for smooth surfaces.
  • Economical way to gain high visibility.
  • 12 piece minimum.
  • The art needs to be separated into spot colors.

There are different inks you can use for screen-printing. Plastisol is the standard instead of water based inks. Water based inks tend to look faded, but you can’t feel it as much on the shirt.

Silk-screening also needs an underbase on dark garments. You know how you use a white primer to paint your walls? Same concept. You can achieve a more vintage and faded look without printing the underbase so your ink won’t be so bright.

Swag

What is embroidery?
A classic decorating technique created by stitching the artwork directly into the product fabric. It is best for thicker garments like jackets, fleece and hats.

  • Professional and sophisticated style.
  • Durability for multiple wears and washes.
  • Ideal for premium gifts.
  • No minimums.

TRANSFERS

What are transfers?

Artwork is digitally printed directly to a transfer film, then applied to the product. They are best for full color detailed prints at small quantities.

  • Specialty prints include puff, glitter, reflective, etc.
  • Superior clarity and precision in comparison to silkscreen.
  • Versatility to create unique graphics.
  • No minimums.
  • The art can be in a raster format for embroidery but vector is best since fine details and small text need to be altered.

PATCHES

Patches are super trendy and a nice change of pace from the more traditional decoration methods.

SUBLIMATION

Sublimated shirts are great for when you don’t want to feel the ink. The fabric is printed first then stitched together. It’s 100% polyester shirts. Great for running/athletic shirts.

DIRECT TO GARMENT

Ink is directly printed on garments in full color. It’s good for full color with smaller quantities. It has to be 100% cotton apparel.

There are so many decoration methods. Leave it to us to find out what would be the best method for you. That would depend on your art, the style of garment, and quantity. You don’t have to know the different processes, we do and will help guide you.
